Meet Dwayne Davis

Delivery driver Dwayne Davis has been with us for 7 years now and still finds “every day an adventure”. He is well known throughout the Brandywine Store community since he has stopped at every store we have at one point or another. Dwayne was born and raised in DC. He attended Woodson High School, Howard University, then finally settled at Montgomery College Rockville Campus where he majored in… you ready? Culinary Arts! And is he good at it too! He grew up cooking, his Mom would sell dinners to the locals where he would cook for her, in fact, his Mom at one point worked at the infamous Ben’s Chili Bowl in D.C. Before joining Brandywine, Dwayne was an employee of the D.C. Government and was booting cars for eight years when his contract ran up. He then joined Brandywine, all the while working at a catering company, the Imani Cafe and Catering in DC where he still works today at night and on weekends. He was so proud that while working at Imani he served a President of the United States, Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary. As much effort Dwayne puts in to his jobs, he made it clear that his family comes first. He and his wife Karen have been married for about 15 years and have three daughters, Nicki, Monique and Mya. When asked what he likes most about working at Brandywine, he replied moving around from city to city in his truck – he gets to see areas that no one else does, he said today he was going to Dover, Delaware, and on some days he delivers to Pennsylvania. Thanks for all your service Dwayne, we’re glad you joined us!
