WHO’S THE BABY???

January 10th, 2012

There were no winners for November and December and the $25 Wawa card is still up for grabs….our first hint was blue eyes, second hint goes like this….

Could this be male? Female? Pretty obscure….. but only the “title” will tell for sure.

Call Carol in payroll with your guesses. The first person who answers correctly is the winner!

January Newsletter

January 10th, 2012

During the month of December, we recognized the 70th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. On December 7, 1941 the Japanese bombed the island with no prior warning plunging us into war on the Asian front. We should all take a moment to reflect on this event and how it changed so many lives. To remember all the lives that were lost to ensure our way of life today and to never forget the sacrifices made by those men and women.

We also should recognize all the men and women who are coming home from the Middle East. To remember they stand ready to defend our freedoms when called upon as done by the ones gone before them. When you see that person in uniform, thank them for the sacrifices they make each day to allow us to keep our freedoms.

Welcome aboard to our new and returning employees:

Joseph Gray will be working at our Brandywine Two location.
Miseal Avalos is returning to our Lorton location, AAAACO Auto Parts.

We want to wish Diane Hall a get well soon. She is the wife of Ron Hall. Diane suffered a heart attack December 16th. The doctors implanted 3 stents and she is on the road to recovery.

Condolences go to the families of Jonathan Akers who lost his mother, Virginia Akers on December 19th and to Jimmy Goddard who lost his mother, Mary Jo Goddard, on December 9th. Our prayers go out to these families.

We want to thank Neal Sullivan and all his helpers for cooking the great Christmas feast on December 23rd. Once again they did a great job of feeding all of us. From all of us the hard work you put in was well worth the effort. We enjoyed every bite….

And once again Walter has left us for Florida. Everyone wishes him well and look forward to his return in the near future.

Wow, where does the time go???? Daniel and Stacy Crecelius’ little bundle of joy Zoey turned one in August; cute as a button!!

How do you spell L-O-V-E?

Here is an amazing story of a step-brother’s unconditional love for his step-sister and you all probably know them. Greg Neil, who works at Ransom Motors, has a son named Scott who used to work for Brandywine. Over 18 years ago Greg and his wife Georgia were married and Georgia had a daughter, Jennifer. Jennifer’s health lately has not been good and was going down hill when she recently learned she had kidney failure and needed a transplant. Many friends and family were tested but found to be incompatible except for one: Scott was a perfect match. The surgery went well without complications and they both have a recovery period of six weeks or more. Now Jennifer and her husband Jason can live a more normal life with their four children. Speedy recoveries to you both!

Get well soon to Henry Middleton, Bret and Cylinda’s baby son who underwent another surgery at the end of August.

Congratulations and big thanks to Brian Williams, parts puller at Compact Auto Parts, who was able to stop a thief from stealing car parts. As is our practice, Brian was rewarded with a check.

Deep condolences to a former employee, David Henson, who lost his wife Linda suddenly.

AAAACO Rebuild is almost done and we’re almost in the building!

Just a couple more weeks to go, moving in to our new place.
