With economic factors challenging, many consumers are making tough financial decisions, including postponing plans to buy a new vehicle. The typical vehicle on the road today is about nine years old. Routine maintenance and upkeep is becoming increasingly important not only for a vehicle’s longevity, but also for its efficiency and safety. Motorists should keep this in mind when they maybe reluctant to spend on services or maintenance that they think can be put off at least for the short term. Such decisions, however, could potentially shorten the life of a vehicle and cost more money in the long term.

Safety Tips We Can All Live with

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

None of us likes to get hurt, especially on the job where we might incur lost time. We can’t place enough emphasis on working safely – remember, someone you love wants to see you come home in one piece every night. Let’s start by emphasizing safe work practices that are universal and just plain common sense:

• Regardless of the severity, it is important to report every illness or injury to your supervisor immediately – sometimes small injuries can become big ones.

• Follow good housekeeping rules – this can prevent slips, trips and falls and eliminate fire hazards.

• Never attempt to lift, move or carry something that you know is too heavy for you – ask your team members for assistance when you need it!

• If you ever have a question about safety rules or procedures, ask! This in itself means that you care about your safety and the safety of others around you.

We are pleased to announce that we have opened two new installation shops to serve you. From engines to transmissions, seats, headlights, bumpers, large and small parts, we can do it all for you.

Our second installation business is located at Central Small Car Salvage, 104 North Crain Highway in Upper Marlboro – our newest installation business is located at Eden Used Auto Parts to serve our Eastern Shore customers. Of course our original installation shop is located on Brandywine Road in Brandywine, Maryland. All locations are staffed by experienced and talented mechanics.

To find the quickest way to any of these locations, click on the locations link, click on the name of the business, then click on directions – its that easy. However, any of our salespeople will be more than happy to help you find the closest installation shop and will arrange for your vehicle to be serviced.

If your vehicle is inoperabe and can’t be driven to either location, we also offer towing services for a minimal charge. Call any of our sales staff for assistance.
